FAQS
A consultation is simply a "get to know you" appointment. It is a time for us to learn about each other, talk about what you need, learn more about how working with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® can help, and determine whether or not l'm the right person to help you. The consultation will start with me asking you questions so that I fully understand your situation, what you've tried, what worked, what didn't work, and what challenges you're currently facing. These questions will also help me know if I'm the right person to help you or not. I will then give you my recommendations for your next step. My recommendation may be to work with me, but it might be something else! Regardless, I will be honest with you about what I think your next step should be. You'll be able to ask me any questions you have, and if it's the right fit for us to work together, we will get you enrolled at the end of that call. Other than showing up for the consultation, being honest about your situation, and engaging in the conversation, there is no obligation.
I am unable to take insurance, but it may be possible for you to use your Health Care Spending Account. Each HSA or FSA account is different on what they allow, so you'll need to do some checking on your end. If your HSA covers working with a coach, here are the steps to take: 1. First, you'll need to have your doctor write you a "prescription" saying that working with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® would be helpful. (If your doctor wants to chat with me about how a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® can help you, just have him or her contact me or the 1. International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute where I was trained.) 2.You will then pay me directly and I will provide you with a receipt. Unfortunately, I cannot bill your HSA Visa directly. (They're rules, not mine.) 3. Finally, you will submit your receipt to your HSA or FSA for reimbursement.
What Is Your Refund Policy? I do not offer refunds. In order to put my full faith in your success, there can be no space for you to quit on yourself and your dreams (aka request a refund). My no refund policy is a clear way of saying right from the start that neither of us are willing to accept failure as an option. There will be times our work together will be hard work — and sometimes that work will look like saying no or resting! I will not give up on you and don't want you to give up on yourself either!
What Is Your Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy? Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with a minimum notice of one business day through my automated online scheduling system. This allows me to use your space for someone else who needs help.

A pilot study of health and wellness coaching for fibromyalgia | BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders | Full Text (biomedcentral.com)showed that after working with a coach for one year, fibromyalgia patients were able to reduce the severity of their pain by almost one third, cut the overall impact of pain on their lives almost in half, and reduced their overall doctor visits (and the expense of those visits) down to just 15% of what they were before coaching. While the participants in the pilot study met with Certified Health and Wellness coaches, they did NOT meet with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®. In my experience, working with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® gives better results more quickly. What you can expect will very, depending on your unique health circumstances.
